Asia-Pacific Homeland Security (APHS) 2015 has just concluded the trade segment of its five-day’s event. APHS combined a Table-Top Exercise (TTX), a full day plenary conference focusing on URBAN RESILIENCE topic, gathering 187 participants and a three-day trade exhibition, including BtoG and BtoB meetings, where exhibitors show focused dedicated products such as threat and hazard detection, protection devices, security and rescue equipment, and crisis management tools, among others.
The event opened a new concept in the field of thinking about resilience and disaster relief.
APHS welcomed participating companies from 16 countries and hosted 20 foreign delegations from ASEAN, alongside countries like Fiji, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka*. They consisted of high level and senior personnel from the armed forces, security forces and disaster relief agencies who attended both the conference and the exhibition.
Those attended from Singapore included officers from the Singapore Police Force, Singapore Armed Forces, Transport Ministry, and various government and statutory boards and academics.
Along the three tradeshow days, APHS Exhibition hosted nearly 1,320 participants from 45 countries, including members of Foreign Embassies to Singapore.
We look forward to seeing you in two years in another APHS CONFEX (CONFerence-EXhibition) at Singapore to continue successful networking between all stakeholders involved in prevention and handling of natural and industrial disasters.
